Data Recovery — Liquid Exposure — Clean Room

Checked in a Samsung (ST1000LM024) Hard Drive that was opened up before we received the drive. The drive is making constant clicking sounds.

**Important!!!! Never open the drive cover if you are not an expert and do not have the proper tools and equipment**

Although there isn’t any media damage visible on the top platter, we do have contamination on the sliders. ALSO, VERY STRANGE: There are traces of liquid inside the drive (please see photos). Not sure if this drive had liquid damage or its condensation. Strange.

We are waiting for the customers approval to proceed with the clean room recovery.
