Seagate 2TB (STLRD0TUS) Stiction — Clean Room

Got in a Seagate 2TB (STLRD0TUS) External drive that was making beeping sounds. For anyone experiencing this issue, DONT try to power on the drive. Power it down and bring it to a Data Recovery Specialist.

Update: We opened the drive cover and the read/write heads were stuck on the platters, right under the parking ramp. We were able to safely remove the parking ramp, use our tool to raise the heads off the platters and bring them back.
