We opened a Seagate (ST3000DM001) 3TB in our Clean Room. The top platter was clean as well as the air filter. But once we took the read/write heads out of the drive, it was clear we had some serious problems. Head #4 had heavy contamination on the slider and the rest of the heads had very light contamination. Let’s continue our diagnosis.
