Seagate Data Recovery (ST4000LM024)

We got in a Seagate 4TB (ST4000LM024) drive. Customer mentioned the drive is not making sounds and was not dropped. The drive was not being recognized. We diagnosed the drive and noticed right away the drive was making a buzzing/ beeping sound and the platters weren’t spinning at all. After opening the drive in our Clean Room, the heads were stuck on the platters right on the service area of the drive. Yikes😧 The heads were also stuck on the parking ramps. After removing and inspecting the read/write heads, we immediately saw that the heads were completely destroyed. Let’s see how much data we can recover 👍🏼
