Western Digital Data Recovery (2TB)

Our customer was hearing beeping sounds after they dropped their drive. We opened the Western Digital 2TB drive in our Clean Room and realized that the issue was not Stiction (beeping) because the read/write heads were parked where they should be. After inspecting the read/write heads, head 4 was damaged. Under the microscope, we were able to see very light contamination on this head as well. If the head was bent up, we would definitely have had heavier media damage. We found a good match and now it’s time for a head swap. Let’s go!
